All Saints/ All Souls Day of Recollection
With Kathy Irr
October 27, 2021
Pope John Paul II said of All Saints Day that, “[it] invites us to turn our gaze to the immense multitude of those who have already reached the blessed land and points us on the path that will lead us to that destination.” We will celebrate both the known and unknown saints who have attained heaven.
All Souls day encourages us to remember all those who have died, many of whom left our lives filled with wisdom, teachings, strengths, and faithfulness in the face of extraordinary and ordinary challenges.
We are bonded to these saints and souls by our baptism, as they are part of the Body of Christ. We ask for their prayers, inspiration, and intercession on our behalf. They continue to play a role in our journey toward meeting our God face to face.
Spend a day in remembrance and thanksgiving.
