For centuries artists have studied and marveled at the anatomy of Christ crucified for its ability to show the body and the muscles employed as a way to reveal the passion and sacrifice. This 10 session course, Anatomy of the Crucifixion, focuses on the anatomy of the Corpus of Christ crucified is presented exclusively at Saint Edmund’s Sacred Art Institute and offers the artist an opportunity to study under the tutelage of Robert Armetta, master anatomist, who has taught artistic anatomy the at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the New York Academy of Art.

This week-long workshop’s studio time lasts five consecutive days. Check in begins Sunday night at 4:30. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm for students and instructors. Dinner is followed by a workshop introduction and conference, which ends at 9:00 pm. Hands-on instruction begins early Monday morning. The entire workshop ends Friday at 1 PM.

Workshop Materials:

A $100 materials and model fee is included in the cost of this workshop.

All materials used in this workshop will be pre-ordered and made available to students in the classroom by the instructor.

All other equipment and art supplies are the property of the Enders Island Sacred Art Institute.
