The Jesus Prayer and Inner Stillness: A Day of Recollection
With Fr. Demetri Belsito
April 17, 2024
This Day of Reflection will focus on the use of the Jesus Prayer and the use of the prayer rope. For hundreds of years, both monastic and lay people have used the komboschini (or chotke) to calm one’s inner thoughts, meditate on God, and be transformed by God’s grace. This Eastern practice has been at the heart of Byzantine Catholic and Orthodox Spirituality for over 1500 years. Come and learn this practice of inner stillness and prayer and grow in your relationship with God, Mary, and Jesus.
