In this sacred art class, we will embark on a journey to explore the Queenship of Mary through the rich symbolism of still life painting. Drawing inspiration from the divine and regal aspects of Mary, our focus will be on creating intimate, prayerful works of art that reflect her sovereignty as Queen of Heaven and Earth. Through the gentle brushstrokes of oil paint, participants will depict sacred objects that evoke her queenship, such as crowns, roses, and the holy rosary. Each object will serve as a visual prayer, a reminder of Mary’s role in our lives and her intercession before the throne of God.

Each session will begin with a time of quiet prayer and meditation. Participants will be invited to reflect on the significance of Mary’s queenship in their own lives. Through prayer, we will ask for Mary’s intercession as we work, and her guidance in our artistic endeavors. Whether focusing on the grace of the rose or the majesty of the crown, each brushstroke will become a prayer, a way to honor the Blessed Mother through art.

At the end of each class, we will gather together to offer prayers of thanksgiving and reflection on the work we have created, and the deeper connection we have made with Mary’s queenship.

This class is an opportunity not only to learn the technical aspects of still life painting but to enter into a deeper spiritual practice through art. Each painting created will be a visual prayer, honoring the Queenship of Mary and inviting her presence into our hearts and homes. Participants will leave not only with a finished piece of art but with a renewed sense of devotion and connection to the Blessed Mother, carrying the spirit of prayer and reverence into their everyday lives.
