It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
With Kara Marziali
December 10, 2025
Every December, the secular world pressures us to get busy. But before you deck the halls, max out your credit card, bake cookies, or wrap presents, take time to withdraw from the distractions of the season. Advent is intended as a period of focused spiritual reflection and prayer, not a time for busyness and completion of tasks. You are invited to encounter the holy anticipation of the Christmas season, reflect on four Advent themes—hope, peace, joy, love—and to prepare your hearts to celebrate the coming of Christ. This Advent Day of Recollection is an opportunity to enter into a deeper awareness of God’s presence through prayer and personal reflection and be reminded why it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
We invite you to join us for Holy Mass in the Chapel at 9 AM. Check in will begin at 9:45. Coffee, tea and pastries will be available. Included in this day is a hot lunch. This will be served at 12:30 in the dining hall of the Enders House, an early 20th century arts and crafts style mansion and the oldest structure on the island.
