Laudato Si Group
With Dr Robert Perry
Open Dates
The Laudato Si Group will meet the Second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM on Enders Island in the Emmaus Dining Room. Groups, know as Circles have been formed all over the world since the publication of the encyclical, Laudato Si on Care for Our Common Home, written by Pope Francis in 2015.
Laudato Si fits into Catholic and all Christian social teaching principals of human dignity, common good, solidarity, and care for the environment.
Laudato Si is a commitment to eco conversion and thus being able to hear the cry of the earth and of the poor.
We meet to discuss how we can better address in our own lives the teachings of this encyclical and how we can bring the message of this encyclical to others.
We are non- political and ecumenical.
All are invited particularly young people and couples and all those concerned about the future of our common home.
It would be very helpful if attendees could read at least the introduction, and preferably the first chapter, of the encyclical beforehand. This will provide them with a better understanding of the focus and purpose of our Circle.
