With Sr Theresita Donach CSFN
July 3 - 5, 2026
As we celebrate the Semi quincentennial of our country, let’s take a look at some of the saints who could be know as ‘Patron Saints of Freedom’. Each of them shows, in their own way, how freedom is strongest when lived for others. Some we may be
familiar with St. John Paul II, St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Katherine Drexel, St. Oscar Romero, St. Damien of Molokai. Some others who are also noteworthy: St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Peter Claver, St. Josephine Bakhita, St. Martin de Porres and St. Bartolome Las Casas. Let their witness inspire renewal of America’s founding ideals for every generation.
