With Fr. Thomas F.X. Hoar, SSE
October 31, 2025
Join us this Halloween evening on Enders Island for a compelling and urgent talk, “The Rise of the Occult.” In an age where spiritual curiosity often ventures beyond traditional paths, elements of the occult are becoming increasingly prevalent and visible in society, from popular culture to personal practices. This timely discussion will explore the growing presence of occult beliefs and practices in our modern world, examining how they manifest and why they captivate so many.
Drawing upon a Catholic perspective, this talk will illuminate what the Church teaches regarding the occult, highlighting its potential dangers and the spiritual implications for individuals. We will delve into the various forms the occult takes and, crucially, equip attendees with the knowledge and understanding needed to guard themselves and their loved ones from its influence. This is an opportunity to strengthen our faith, discern spiritual truths, and learn how to navigate a world grappling with these ancient, yet ever-present, phenomena.
Following the talk, we invite you to join us for Mass , then an extended period of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. This sacred time of prayer and reflection will offer a powerful spiritual anchor, providing a counterpoint to the evening’s discussion and reinforcing the presence and protection of Christ.
Come to Enders Island this Halloween for an evening of insightful discussion and profound spiritual renewal. All are welcome to learn, reflect, and find strength in faith.
