Writing God’s Superabundant Beauty: Praying, Seeing, Writing with Joy
With Sarah Cortez
October 15 - 20, 2023
Our Glorious, Heavenly Father has given us a creation that reflects His Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. This week with author and editor Sarah Cortez will focus on prayerful silence as a basis for writing the universe’s incarnated beauty and mystery in poetry, short essay, and short memoir. You’ll be able to use the days of supportive writing instruction to find a deeper sense of purpose and meaningfulness in your creative life. Your experiences this week with several genres will furnish a clear path forward for your continued writing. Our scheduled overlapping with international artist and sculptor Anthony Visco’s class will provide rich insights into writing in response to art and deep reflection on St. John Paul II’s “Letter to Artists.”
