Fr John Koelle, OFM Cap

 

Fr. John was born and raised in Astoria, NY and entered the Capuchin Franciscan Order in 2004 seeking to do God’s will. After completing novitiate and post novitiate studies, John made his solemn profession to the Order in 2009 and was assigned to the Provincialate in White Plains, NY as the Province’ controller. It was during these three years he felt called to study for the priesthood and entered philosophical and theological studies at St. John Seminary, Brighton, MA. John earned his BPhil and MDiv and was ordained to the presbyterate in June 2019.

Br. John has over twenty years of continuous sobriety and has led recovery retreats ( Matt Talbot) for more than seven years.
