Jay Booth
Booth possesses over 40 years of experience in the origination of debt and equity, public and private, offerings of securities or public placements in the Wall Street New York milieu. These project financings have been almost exclusively in the area of public finance and Native American government debt. Over the past 10 or 15 years green technology has become a part of the experience. This direction was motivated by the interest of Native American tribes as well. His expertise lies in the ability to structure financing in a manner that enhances the credit quality of the core idea. Business organization and suitable strategic partners that further enhance the credit value of the transaction usually accompany the recommended structure. Booth’s experience also included upper management posts at various Wall Street firms which led to the formation of his own broker-dealer and/or partnerships in the financial marketplace. His emphasis was in the debt markets for state and local government securities in addition to private equity/joint venture partnerships.
Booth’s reckoning with substance use disorder was progressive over a long-term. The blackouts didn’t come for him during the first 20 years of consumption. Consequently, he was dumbfounded by the reality that it became impossible to cease drinking. Similarly, he became blindsided within the wreckage of his prior business acumen/accomplishments. An estimated 200 attempts to kick the habit, preceded his entry into the AA fellowship. Once immersed into a group of storytellers, his Irish heritage and multigenerational alcohol bona fides brought clarity and determination to the task at hand. The weaning process of diminishing the poisons of the alcohol drug, coupled with a rigid program of high quality organic food and supplement intake served to regenerate the body/brain. This served him well in accelerating the journey towards emotional sobriety and the development of an authentic spiritual practice. His work with Deacon Steve DeMartino and the Alliance for Addiction with the sick and suffering at Enders and other treatment facilities bears testament to his work/research.
Booth barely survived the era of the three martini lunch and somehow passed through the illusions of Wall Street riches to spiritual rags, only to discover through research, fellowship and a spiritual practice, a specially carved highway to recovery. Over the past 17+ years of physical sobriety and a gradually progressing experience of emotional sobriety, he has been helping others to find a path toward healing which best suits their persona.
