Jim & Carey Moran

Jim and Carey Moran were married on September 6, 1981.  Both Connecticut natives, they raised their four children in Shelton where Carey taught mathematics at the local high school, and Jim owned and operated a residential building business.  They relocated their family to Lord’s Point in Stonington in 2009, and have since settled in Mystic.

Carey currently teaches math at St. Bernard School and works at Wehpittituck Farm during the summer. Jim is employed by the family company, Moran Custom Homes.  They welcomed their first grandchild in July 2026. Jim and Carey are members of St. Patrick’s Church in Mystic, and frequent volunteers at Enders Island. In their spare time they enjoy boating, the beach, escaping to Vermont, and spending time with their children.
