Sr Brenda Whelan, RSM

A Sister of Mercy for 38 years, Sr. Brenda is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Private Practice in Orchard Park, NY. Her private practice specializes in the healing of grief and trauma. Sr. Brenda is a Certified Grief Therapist and  a Certified Trauma Therapist.

Before moving into private practice, Sr. Brenda was the Director of the Pastoral Care Department at Women’s and Children’s Hospital for 17 years and was a
chaplain there for 18 years.

For the past 6 years Sr. Brenda has been an adjunct professor at Canisius University teaching graduate students Grief Counseling.
