William McCallum

Willie McCallum is one of the foremost competing pipers in the world today. A native of Campbeltown, Kintyre, Willie has won almost very prize in solo piping and several times over. A few of his individual and band achievements include the Genfiddich World Championship eight times, Gold Medal Northern Meeting, Inverness, Gold Metal Argyllishire Gathering, Oban and Scottish Pipe Band Championship twice with Scottish Power. Willy is in demand as a recitalist, adjudicator and teacher and has numerous solo recordings to his credit. Teaching has been a major part of his working life for over 30 years. He has taught in the USA, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Brittany, Austria, Germany and Switzerland since 2010.
