As Deacons, we have been on numerous retreats regarding the diaconate and the ministries of the Church. Maybe we’ve heard presentations of what the needs of our parish communities are and what it is to be an ordained man of God. My wife, Catherine, and I wish this retreat to be more focused on the woman in our lives and the women & wives of scripture.
